Vintage Treasury, Peacock Wall Art, BlueDome Art Festival, Stuffy Artist

It's been a while since I've posted, so I'll share with you what I've been working on since last time.

I just finished a 3 day art festival in Tulsa, Oklahoma called, "The BlueDome Art Festival" and it was wonderful. Here's some of the pictures I took while I was there:

I had a great time and look forward to doing BlueDome again next year!

These are all 4 x 5" original acrylic paintings, and are available at:

If you get a chance, come check out this cool treasury I created on Etsy. It's full of colorful vintage items, so if you're looking to decorate your place or are looking for a gift for a friend you've come to the right place!

Last, but not least I wanted to kinda vent a little about something I've seen on Etsy in the forums and experienced personally. The threads in the forums are about "Artist" who complain about people wanting to "haggle" for their items. Now... I get that we all work hard on our art... and it's beautiful, unique, special, and how dare someone ask for any kind of discount! Who do they think they are?

I myself don't mind this. I don't think I or my art are too good to be haggled with. Get off your high horse people! As long as it's reasonable and I really love an item, I usually don't mind paying a higher price. But, so what if someone ask you for a discount. We're in economically hard times! And all you can say to them is NO.

Also, alot of artist tend to think that the person is asking for a discount because they think they're item should be cheaper, or isn't as wonderfully magnificent as you think. It's not true. You may have a great product. And it may be worth what you have it priced at. Some people will haggle just because. And it usually works! My husband is the best at this. He's taught me how to haggle a little, but he'll take it as far as going into American Eagle and asking for a discount. They always say no, but that's it. Then we buy our item and move on. :)

It's that simple :)
