Ornament, Air-Freshener, or Door Hanger? And... Japan Relief Painting

So, my husband and I were driving all day yesterday and I got bored and decided to start a sewing project in the car. This is how it turned out...

This item is displayed in my shop on Etsy, http://www.bearycreative.etsy.com/
It is $10 and can be used several ways. Decorative tree ornament... Door hanger... Or... an air-freshener!!! I love this idea, and yes I will soon have one hanging in my car :) I have different scents listed on the listing for this so you can message me and tell me which one you want. I will soon have several different patterns to choose from!

Also, I created a painting for "Japan Relief" called, "Come Together" and I will donate $10 of this painting to Redcross if it sells!

New Website

Hey everyone! I have a new website I will be selling my art on at: www.zhibit.org/jerihall
I still have my shop on Etsy, but due to the fact that not everyone has an Etsy account, I figured I'd make a site where everyone can go! You can pay through pay pal, or send a check. (More details on my site) I don't have all my painting's up yet, but there's a good starting selection- and there are no shadowboxes or cloth dolls right now.. I'm gonna see how it goes- and if it's good I'll add more later on..

Busy...Busy

Hello Everyone! It seems like it's been a while since I've blogged, but I've been so busy! After a long week in Tulsa with my parents, I came back home to a flooded house. : ( Who knows how long it had been that way and all our floors in the downstairs were ruined, so we had to rip them out and are gonna replace everything. I guess we were wanting to replace the floors anyway eventually- just not yet. While we're at it we're gonna go ahead and re-do the whole kitchen, so I guess this wasn't such a bad thing to happen even though it was a pain! Luckily my art work was saved! I have everything upstairs, so thank God it didn't flood up there! :) Anyways- as far as art goes, I've only managed to make a couple new paintings- Here's my favorite one..

Chaos

This painting was inspired by all the craziness goin on in my life lately!! :) BTW... Don't forget to stop by Brewburger at 61st and Sheridan (across from Braum's) to see my art and eat some GREAT food. I just went there with my husband and I had a wonderful beef quesadilla and he had a buffalo burger with fries and it was AMAZING. Seriously, not just sayin it cause my art work is up there- but they have great food and are very nice :) So GO!

Keep in mind: Peace, Love, & Crafts Art show is coming to the Expo Center at the Tulsa Fair Grounds on April 9th! There's gonna be some wonderful local artist out there and it's FREE! Come by and see my booth and buy a painting!! :)

You can find these paintings on my Etsy site at: http://bearycreative.etsy.com

So, I've been wanting to try something new for a while now.. and I finally did it yesterday! I was at my favorite arts and crafts store when I ran into some art clay. I have always admired people who make really cool art dolls out of clay, (I have bought a couple from a lady named, Athena Workman on Etsy at "MissMillificent" and they are treasures :), so I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. It was a little harder to get the clay sculpted then I thought it would be, and there's a lot of technique in creating something out of clay! But, I made a cool little gal named Pita (who still needs clothes and hair :) Here's a pre-showing of my 1st ever clay art doll..

Get To Know Me

Hello Everyone :) I'm Jeri (the one on the left) and that's my twin sister Jessie, (also my best friend!) I thought I'd share a little about myself with you to get to know me a little better. I was born on August 5, 1986 in Oklahoma City, Ok. to my two wonderful parents who have been married for 27 years! We moved to Tulsa when I was 6 and I grew up in the suburbs there for 18 years. After graduating H.S. in 05, I worked at a store called Fossil for the next year while trying to decide what to do with my life. In 2006 I went to cosmetology school and for the next year, worked on getting my cosmetology license. After graduating I got a job at Marylin Ihloff Salon and worked there til 2008. I loved doing hair but... my life was taking me in a new direction, so I just went with it :)  While working at Ihloff, a guy who I had worked with at Fossil came back into my life. We dated for a year and decided to get married on December 27th, 2008!  Now we've been married for a little over 2 years and we just moved to the country in October and I love it :) It's peaceful out here and I get to be creative and work on my paintings and crafts whenever I want.

We have added to our family since getting married and have two little girls :) Lexi is a 6 yr. old black, white, and tan chihuahua with a sweet, loving personality. Muff is a 1 yr. old long hair chihuahua with a fun, easy going personality.

This is our family :) Thanks for taking the time to read all this! And buy a painting!!! :)
